In 2016 Jeanneau’s objective is to harmonise the range from the 379 through to the 509. To do this they will be introducing the following improvements to the boats’ 2016 specification:
Bigger aft platform: This will be made 3 X bigger and extend full width across the transom for the SO379, SO409 and SO439
Improved Companionway: For 2016 hinged doors rather than a washboard, a lower threshold step and a gentler angle for the steps down into the cabin will be seen on onboard the SO379, SO409 and SO439
Upgraded interior lighting: The interior lighting will be upgraded to both direct and indirect LED lighting throughout the accommodation onboard the SO379, SO409 and SO439
Completely Redesigned Upholstery: Throughout the Sun Odyssey range in 2016 the upholstery will have pillow backrests with piping for the upgraded Ambience selection and a whole new material range to choose from for the standard vinyl selection.
Modern Bowsprit: All the Sun Odyssey 2016 range will have a modern bowsprit for both aesthetic and practical purposes. This has been inspired by the racing boats and will be integrated into the hull lines and assist with both better, safer anchoring and with flying asymmetric sails.
And to mark these changes for 2016 model range the model designations will be changed as follows:
Sun Odyssey 349 stays Sun Odyssey 349
Sun Odyssey 379 becomes Sun Odyssey 389
Sun Odyssey 409 becomes Sun Odyssey 419
Sun Odyssey 439 becomes Sun Odyssey 449
Sun Odyssey 469 becomes Sun Odyssey 479
Sun Odyssey 509 becomes Sun Odyssey 519
